114 November 6th

  I was relieved from guard this morning. come to camp and was in quarters the rest of the day

November 7th

  I was on Ordley duty to day. had to go with Gen'l Gordon while he Inspected a couple of Regiments of Infantry
  It was very cold and cloudy to day.

November 8th

  It has snowed most all day abought 2 inches of snow fell. it is a very cold storm

November 9th This morning at 1 oclock we had Ordors to march with 3 days raitions We start at 4 oclock. our Ordors is to report to Harper's Ferry. we did not start until 8 oclock. got to the Ferry at noon. stoped there till dark then we was ordered to go on a reconnaissance 16 miles from Harpers Ferry towards Snickers Gap with 2 Sections of the First New York Batterie and several Companies of Infantry. we went into Virginia abought 15 miles but did not see enything we had to stand Picket guard till morning. then we returned to Harper's Ferry.
