Thursday, 23. I had the bullet taken out of my leg this morning it had remained in my leg most five weeks. I was put under the influence of Ether when the bullet was taken out. my leg has pained me severly since.
July, Friday, 24. 1863. I did not sleep a wink last night. my wound paining me terrible all night. it has not pained me quite so hard to day. feels a little easeyer.
Saturday, 25. My leg is so sore now that I can seasly move it.
Sunday, 26. My wound has pained me considerable to day
