The two copies of ACADIA NATIONAL PARK, ITS ORIGIN AND BACKGROUND, have been received; and we are delighted with your promptness and generosity. Thank you very much for inscribing the Maine Author Collection copy. As for the other, we do indeed want to purchase it, and we shall approve the amount of two dollars ($2) at once. You should receive a check from the State Treasurer in about two weeks.

This is a valuable piece of work which you have made available to the public, and we are sure that it will be in demand, particularly in such reference libraries as ours. It gives us pleasure to know that this record exists; and we shall hope to see the future ones which you mentioned.
