Bangor Maine Nov 24 /39. Dear Miss Macleod. There is a high grade magazine [?] now called Twice a Year. Perhaps you have heard of it - in any case, it's [?] new number is November. has three of my little essays in it. + the State Library might like to have it. [?] trusted I cannot make circulation copies as I should like to do. But it costs [?] $1.00 - and you would have for the Library three pieces that have been [?] spoken of in New York. I am happy they are out because [?] publishing is very poor at this time. I spoke with Mr. Rankett [?] Librarian of the Bangor Library about a book I want to write of. It is called "In the Aroostook Woods" by Charles T. Tuest [?]. He says he is writing you for the loan of the book for me to read more thoroughly. I got but a spare glimpse of it at Caleb Scribner's house in Patten, and as I am sure he is utterly unknown in the outer world, I should like to
