The theme of implications for future professional practice included two sub-themes soft skill development and the real-life nature of the activity.

A nursing educational escape room may be one strategy to enhance student professional practice skills.

Therefore, other pretreatment methods to effectively remove these harmful substances in the water during treatment are needed. The aim of this study was to determine the effects of microbubble pre-ozonation pH on the reduction of THM4 and HAA5 formed during the peat water treatment process and to determine the best conditions for microbubble pre-ozonation to reduce the formation of these two classes of DBPs. The microbubble pre-ozonation was conducted at a pH of 5.5, 7, and 8.5. Furthermore, the primary treatments applied after this pretreatment were coagulation and activated carbon adsorption before post-chlorine disinfection. The coagulation process using aluminum sulfate and activated carbon adsorption succeeded in reducing the formation of THM4 after chlorination, to a level below USEPA standards, but the concentration of HAA5 was still high. However, the use of microbubble pre-ozonation significantly reduced the formation of both classes of compounds during the chlorination process of the peat water. Also, the concentration of THM4 increased during the pre-ozonation process in all pH conditions, but HAA5 decreased except in alkaline state. Furthermore, the ideal conditions for microbubble pre-ozonation on peat water were at pH 7 (neutral) after 30 min, with the total THM4 concentration at 33.73 ± 0.40 μg/L, and that of HAA5 at 49.89 ± 0.09 μg/L, falling below the USEPA standard.Silicosis, a severe and irreversible form of pulmonary fibrosis (PF) caused by long-term exposure to dust particles in production environments, is the biggest occupational health concern in China and most low-income countries. The transdifferentiation of pulmonary fibroblasts is the terminal event in silicosis, and specific transcription factors (TFs) play a crucial role in this condition. Epacadostat purchase However, the relationship between TF-mediated regulation and silicosis remains unknown. We performed a transcriptomic analysis to elucidate this relationship, and our results revealed that two TFs, EGR2 and BHLHE40, were upregulated and five, i.e., TBX2, NR1H3 (LXRα), NR2F1, PPARG (PPARγ), and EPAS1, were downregulated in activated fibroblasts. Notably, PPARγ and LXRα expression was also decreased in an experimental mouse model of silicosis. The mechanism underlying these changes may involve TGF-β1 secretion from silica-exposed alveolar macrophages, causing PPARγ and LXRα downregulation, which in turn would result in aberrant α-SMA transcription. Our results suggest that LXRα is a potential target for the prevention of silicosis and PF.In this study, the specific surface area, pore structure, surface functional groups and microstructure of the biochar derived from the pyrolysis of pharmaceutical sludge are analyzed. The results showed that the pyrolysis temperature had a great influence on the properties of sludge-based biochar (SBB), and the specific surface area of the SBB first increased and then decreased with an increase in the pyrolysis temperature. The maximum specific surface area was 214.97 m2/g at 600 °C, while the pore volume increased with an increase in the pyrolysis temperature. The pickling process removed impurities in the SBB and increased the specific surface area of the material (319.80 m2/g). The effects of pyrolysis temperature, pH, adsorption time, and initial pollutant concentration on the adsorption process were also studied. The results showed that the adsorbents had good pH adaptability, and biochar produced at 600 °C had the best adsorption capacity (94.69 mg/g). Pickling increased the adsorption capacity to 157.38 mg/g. The results showed that pharmaceutical sludge has great potential as a raw material for the preparation of adsorbent. These benefits can compensate for the cost of sludge pyrolysis treatment.MERS-CoV first case was reported on 23rd November 2012 in Saudi Arabia, Since, then MERS has remained on World Health Organization (WHO) Blueprint list and declared pandemic. This study was conducted on MERS lab confirmed cases reported to Ministry of Health, Saudi Arabia and WHO for year 2012-2019. The epidemiology was investigated based on infection rate, death rate, case fatality rate, Gender, Age group, and Medical conditions (Comorbid and Symptomatic). The overall median age of infected male was 58 years and of female was 45 years. While average mortality age in male was 60 years and of female was 65 years which is greater than the global average of 50 years. The results also report that specially after age of 40 years in both men and women, chances of infection are more while comorbidities increase the infection rate. The men are more susceptible to infection than women. In case of asymptomatic distribution trend was vice versa with 69.4% women and 30.6% in men. Second, most infected age group was reduced by 20 years in case of men with 47.37% infection for age group of 20-39 years. This was also observed in age-group of 20-39 years for no comorbid cases (men (50%) & women (79%)). This explains MERS-CoV prevalence in Saudi Arabia, as young and healthy population were infected, and acted as carrier and on coming in contact with vulnerable population (Elderly, chronic and comorbid) transferred the infection. Hence, MERS-CoV outbreak kept on happening from time to time over past years. This finding might very well explain the exponential spread of Novel CoV-19 globally, as initial control measures required older people to stay indoors while younger generation brought infection from outside. Further studies are required for epidemiology analysis based on clusters, travel history and specific disease related mortality.
