behavior deficits of HIBD rats, which may be related to inhibition of the expression of inflammatory response proteins NLRP3, ASC and Caspase-1 in the hippocampus, decrease the activation of microglia in the hippocampus, and reduce serum IL-1β and IL-18, thereby alleviating inflammation.

Acupuncture can effectively improve the social behavior deficits of HIBD rats, which may be related to inhibition of the expression of inflammatory response proteins NLRP3, ASC and Caspase-1 in the hippocampus, decrease the activation of microglia in the hippocampus, and reduce serum IL-1β and IL-18, thereby alleviating inflammation.

To observe the effect of electroacupuncture (EA) at "Zusanli"(ST36) and "Sanyinjiao"(SP6) on conditioned place preference (CPP) and activation of glutamatergic neurons in the ventromedial prefrontal cortex (VMPFC) of morphine-addiction rats, so as to explore its mechanisms underlying detoxification.

Thirty male SD rats were randomly and equally divided into control, model and EA groups. The rats with acquisition of morphine-induced CPP received intraperitoneal injection of morphine (10 mg/kg) in the morphine-paired chamber, once daily for 3 consecutive days, and those of the control group received intraperitoneal injection of the same dose of normal saline in saline-paired chamber. Thirty minutes before CPP acquisition training, EA (2 Hz/100 Hz, 0.5 to 1.0 mA) was applied to ST36 and SP6 for 20 min every day. The double-labeled neurons of Fos/vesicular glutamate transporter 2 (VGLUT2) in the VMPFC were detected by using fluorescent immunohistochemistry. The discharges of the VMPFC neurons were recorded bygroup than in the model group (

<0.001).

EA can suppress morphine-induced seeking behavior in rats, which may be related to its inhibitory effect on glutamatergic neurons in the VMPFC.

Its application are basically similar to those of external therapies of Chinese civilization. The present paper introduces "somatic therapies" and acupuncture-moxibustion from the historic evolution of world medicine and calls a renaissance of modern somatic medicine.

The optimal treatment of

wild-type patients with platinum-sensitive recurrent ovarian cancer remains unknown. Recently, there is an increase in the evidence to support the role of the combination of a poly(adenosine diphosphate-ribose) polymerase inhibitor, anti-angiogenic agents, and immunotherapy as maintenance therapy in

wild-type patients with platinum-sensitive recurrence. We hypothesized that adding pembrolizumab and bevacizumab to olaparib maintenance can increase progression-free survival (PFS) in

wild-type patients with platinum-sensitive recurrent ovarian cancer.

wild-type patients who received two previous courses of platinum-containing therapy, achieved complete or partial response to last treatment, and the treatment-free interval is >6 months after the penultimate platinum-based chemotherapy offered olaparib maintenance with pembrolizumab and bevacizumab. Forty-four patients will be included from 4 sites across Singapore and Korea. The primary endpoint of the study is 6-month PFS rate.

Aimed to construct an immune-related risk signature and nomogram predicting endometrial cancer (EC) prognosis.

An immune-related risk signature in EC was constructed using the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator regression analysis based on The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) databases. A nomogram integrating the immune-related genes and the clinicopathological characteristics was established and validated using the Kaplan-Meier survival curve and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve to predict the overall survival (OS) of EC patients. The Estimation of STromal and Immune cells in MAlignant Tumor tissues using Expression data (ESTIMATE) R tool was used to explore the immune and stromal scores.

CCL17, CTLA4, GPI, HDGF, HFE2, ICOS, IFNG, IL21R, KAL1, NR3C1, S100A2, and S100A9 were used in developing an immune-related risk signature evaluation model. The Kaplan-Meier curve indicated that patients in the low-risk group had better OS (p<0.001). The area under the ROC curve (AUC) values of this model were 0.737, 0.764, and 0.782 for the 3-, 5-, and 7-year OS, respectively. A nomogram integrating the immune-related risk model and clinical features could accurately predict the OS (AUC=0.772, 0.786, and 0.817 at 3-, 5-, and 7-year OS, respectively). The 4 immune cell scores were lower in the high-risk group. Forkhead box P3 (FOXP3) and basic leucine zipper ATF-like transcription factor (BATF) showed a potential significant role in the immune-related risk signature.

Twelve immune-related genes signature and nomogram for assessing the OS of patients with EC had a good practical value.

In 2013, a cohort study aimed to clarify the positive and negative effects of introducing the human papillomavirus (HPV) testing for population-based cervical cancer screening has been launched in Japan. This study included four screenings during the subsequent 7-year follow-up period. selleck chemicals We aim to describe the results of the first round of this study on cervical cancer screening here.

This study began in September 2013 with recruitment completed in March 2016. Women aged 30-49 years were divided into 2 groups those who received uterine cervical cytology alone in the first year (control group), or those who received a combination of cytology and HPV testing (intervention group), based on their age. After first screening, women with positive result of cytology or positive HPV test required referral. We summarized the results of the first round of cervical cancer screening.

Of the 25,074 women who were eligible for the study, 13,845 women (55.2%) were screened with cytology alone; 11,229 women (44.8%) received a combination of cytology and HPV testing.
