Incorporation of new treatment modalities has significantly increased the complexity of the treatment and management of rectal cancer, including perioperative therapy for local advanced disease and organ preservation for those with response to the preoperative treatment. This review may help practitioners better understand the rationale and selection. Objective This study aimed to investigate the expression and role of ERAP1 in preeclampsia pathogenesis. Methods ERAP1 expression of placental tissues was analyzed by Real-Time PCR and western blot. The location of ERAP1 was detected by immunohistochemistry. Cellular preeclampsia model was established by hypoxia treatment of HTR-8/SVneo cells (2% oxygen). Results The present study revealed that ERAP1 expression were significantly elevated in placental tissues of preeclampsia, and hypoxiaincreased ERAP1 expression in trophoblast, suggesting that ERAP-1 may be involved in the development of preeclampsia. Conclusion These finds highlight the role of ERAP1 in the pathogenesis of preeclampsia. Objectives To identify the use and purchasing behaviour of sunscreen products over the internet by Australian females, and factors contributing to these. Methods A cross sectional study of 1065 Australian female participants aged 18 and over was performed in August 2019, utilising an online questionnaire to collect descriptive data regarding current demographics and behaviours in sunscreen product use, online sunscreen product purchasing, sunscreen product preferences and barriers to use, and sun exposure behaviours. Results 57% of 1065 participants have used the internet for sunscreen product recommendations, and 41% have made online purchases of local or international sunscreen products. Participants are more likely to check the ingredients regularly when buying them online (38%) than when purchasing them while overseas (31%).Internet use for sunscreen recommendations and purchasing was significantly impacted by level of education (P less then 0.001), age ( less then 0.001), time in Australia (P  less then  0.001) and ethnicity (P  less then  0.001). Checking listed active ingredients when purchasing international sunscreen products online was significantly affected by the level of education (P = 0.02).Conclusion There is a large proportion of Australian women who use the internet for recommendations or purchasing of sunscreen containing products. Active ingredients should be clearly listed when advertised on the internet, especially for international sunscreens. The fruit-weight 2.2 (fw2.2) locus, which was first described in tomato, is known for controlling up to 30% of fruit mass. The functions of its homologs, the FW2.2-like (FWL) genes, have also been documented in other diploid plants such as maize and rice. However, the evolution and contribution of the FWL gene family to seed weight in polyploid crops remain to be explored. In this study, we deployed an integrated approach to characterize the FWL gene family in the allotetraploid crop, Brassica napus. A total of 18 FWL genes were identified and designated BnFWL1-18. These were classified into three groups based on their phylogenetic relationships, which were supported by multiple sequence alignment, chromosome location, collinearity, transmembrane prediction, conserved motifs, selection pressure, protein three-dimensional (3D) structure, and the composition and position of cis-regulatory elements. Strikingly, three conserved 3D models were identified in all 18 BnFWL proteins, pertaining to the soluble N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor attachment protein receptor complex. Intriguingly, we found that the BnFWL12 protein was structurally similar to phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase, which is required for photosynthesis. More importantly, we identified an "SDGE" phosphorylation motif in BnFWL12 in a search for putative casein kinase II (CK2) phosphorylation sites. Moreover, the temporospatial expression profiles in different tissues revealed that the discrete expression patterns are likely associated with the functional differentiation of BnFWL genes. Taken together, our data shed light on the evolutionary divergence of the FWL gene family in a polyploid crop, providing foundations for further functional studies. Background ava® is a new reusable electromechanical auto-injector (e-Device) with disposable, single-use certolizumab pegol (CZP) dispensing cartridges. Methods RA0098 (NCT03357471) was a US, multicenter, open-label, phase 3 study designed to assess whether the e-Device can be used safely and effectively by self-injecting patients. CZP pre-filled syringe (PFS) self-injecting patients (≥18 years) diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, axial spondyloarthritis, psoriatic arthritis, plaque psoriasis, and Crohn's disease received training and self-injected CZP using the e-Device at 2 visits. click here The primary outcome was the proportion of patients able to self-inject safely and effectively at Visit 2, defined as 1) complete dose delivery, and 2) no adverse events related to the e-Device precluding its continued use. Results 65/67 patients (97.0%) completed the study, 64/65 (98.5%) performed safe and effective self-injection at Visit 2, and 67/67 (100%) performed safe and effective self-injection at Visit 1. Patient satisfaction and self-confidence increased over the two visits. Overall, patients reported a preference for the e-Device (58/65; 89.2%) compared to a PFS (4/65; 6.2%).Conclusions Patients were able to safely and effectively self-inject CZP using the e-Device and most preferred ava® over a PFS. No safety-related findings impacting the benefit-risk ratio of CZP were identified.Androphilia refers to sexual attraction toward adult males. Androphilic males' female genetic relatives might offset the fitness cost of androphilia by having elevated numbers of offspring. Increased attractiveness relative to other women may enable these females to marry up the social hierarchy, providing greater access to resources to support more offspring. In Thailand, there is a marked status hierarchy and male androphiles are highly visible - identifying as gay men or as a third gender known as sao praphet song. Thus, a field experiment was conducted in which 208 heterosexual men rated the facial attractiveness of 25 sisters of Thai gay men or sao praphet song and 25 comparison women with no known same-sex attracted relatives. Contrary to the prediction, the comparison group was rated as more attractive than the sisters, casting doubt on hypotheses that posit greater attractiveness of female relatives of male androphiles as a proximate mechanism facilitating the evolutionary maintenance of genes influencing male androphilia.
