On motion of Mr Greene, Ordered, That so much of the Governor's message as relates to Internal Improvements, be referred to Messrs. Woodman, Manning, and J.R. Redman, with such as the House may join. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred and Messrs. Paris of Buckfield, Tabor of Vassalboro', Bartlett of Hope, Buck of Springfield, O'Brien of Warren, Deering of Kittery, and Appleton of Portland were joined.
That so much as relates to a Geological Survey of the State, be referred to a Joint Select Committee, consisting on the part of the Senate, of Messrs. Benson, Ham and T. Reman, with such as the House may join. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred, and Messrs. Holmes of Winthrop,
