1127 A. Have to get the food to the patients. Q. were you in anyway responsible for the quality of the meat passing through your hands then? A. Not that I know of Q. You were not then held responsible? A. No sir Q. WAs there someone employed in your place? A. Yes sir Q. During the years you were cook you remember now but 2 cases distinctly in which your attention was called to bad meat? A. That is all I can remember at present Q. Do you think it possible that there may have been some other cases where there was a complaint of that kind? A. There may have been. I remember the 2 cases because I was called to Dr. Harlow's office both times, and he asked me if I was responsible and I told him I supposed I was. Q. Now then I understood you to say that during those 6 years of service you think it cannot be possible that there were more than 6 cases and it might be less, in which meat unfit for human food passed through your hands? A. I don't know of
