1204 A.(cont.) My first visit there in the night, we went in I think a little past 10 o'clock. Mrs. Quimby had keys and Mr. Buffrem and I keys to the other and we went all through the institution; it was in June and the ventilation was so bad that it was about imposible to go through some of the halls the air was so foul and we made great complaint about that. Since then the ventilation has been improved very much. Q Do you think everything has been done that can be done to improve that hospital? A. I think without considerable outay in the construction of the building which I am not competent to judge about as to the way it should be done, it is as well managed as it is possible. Q. Would you say that you thought that everything was done that could be done towards improving the curability of the hospital? A. That I am not competent to judge upon. Q. Ws it not through your influence that an extra night watch was put on? A. We recommended it, it might have been done without recommendation. Q. Was the food such as you would be satisfied with
