Ordered that the committee on New Trials be instructed to enquire as to the expediency of so altering the Laws regulating Registers of Deeds that they may be exempted from the duty of seventeen cents now required by law on all instruments by them recorded where the income of their respective offices shall not exceed - dollars - read & passed. An order came from the Senate for concurrence, instructing the committee on State Lands to enquire as to the expediency of passing a Resolve authorizing the Land Agent of this State to sell the reserved lots of land in towns that have been omitted (in the division between this State & Massachusetts) in conjunction with the Land Agent of Massachusetts - and the House concurred.

Petition of James Thompson & als for an extension of the time at which the law for the limitation of real actions shall commence - referred in Senate in the committee on New Trials came down for concurrence - and the House concurred.
