Bill to organize, govern and discipline the Militia f this State, was taken up, and sundry amendments adopted; Mr. Knowlton moved to further amend by striking out the words " Ten cents a mile for travel" in the 41st Section, 5th and 6th lines, and insert in lieu thereof "Eight cents a mile for travel"; and the question of adopting said amendments, being ordered to be taken by yeas and nays, was decided in the negative as follows, to wit;

The same gentleman proposed to amend by striking out "Fifty cents' in the Eight line of the Twenty Eighth Section, and insert in lieu thereof, "One Dollar and Fifty Cents" and the question of adopting said amendment, being ordered to be taken by yeas and nays was decided in the negative as follows, to wit.
