At Middlebury Va. near Ashby's [gate?] we lost 1 killed and 7 wounded--at Gettysburg 30 killed 100 wounded and six missing probably prisoners Taken on the skirmish [ ] --at Jones' cross roads, on the [Charlesburg?] and [Hagerstown?] hike, where I had command of our advance, we had a fight in which we lost 8 killed, wounded and missing--this was July 10th day before yesterday.
