Senate January 7 1823- [Order for Committee on removal of James M. Rogers] Order of the House that Messrs Dunlap of Brunswick, Purrington of Bowdoin and Shaw of Thorndike, with such as the Senate may join be a committee to take into consideration the expediency of addressing the Governor and Council for the removal of James M. Rogers Esquire from each and every office he may now hold under this State came up for concurrence - Read and concurred and Messrs Burnham and Usher were joined.
[Report leave to withdraw on Pet Benj. R. Jones] The Committee on Incorporation of Towns to whom was referred the petition of Benjamin R. Jones and others praying that a part of No. 10 in the County of Washington may be annexed to the town of Dennyville and also remonstrance of said Inhabitants No. 10 reported that the petitions have leave to withdraw their petition. Read, accepted and sent down for concurrence - came up concurred.
