Senate January 8th 1823 [Communication from Counsellor Stowell] A communication from Elias Stowell Esquire signifying his acceptance of the office of Consellor was received read and sent down-
[Remonstrances against the division of County Lincoln] The following remonstrances - committed in the House to the Committee who have under consideration the subject of the division of the County of Lincoln - came up for concurrence- were read and committed to the same Committee in concurrence with the House - viz Remonstrance of Committee of the inhabitants of the town of Harpswell - "of Coners Lilly et als inhabitants of Dresden "of the inhabitants of the town of Whitefield and Committee of inhabitants of town of Boothbay- [order concurring Land Agents] Order of the House that the Joint Standing Committee on State Lands be instructed to enquire into the doings of the several land agents with instructions to report forthwith to this House - came up for concurrence- Read and nonconcurred-
