Agreeably to assignment the two branches met in the Representatives Chamber when the convention proceeded by ballot to the choice of a Treasurer of State - and on counting the ballots it appeared the whole number of votes given in was one hundred and fort eight - necessary to a choice seventy five - Elias Thomas Esq had one hundred & forty eight and was declared chosen.
