On motion of Mr Shapleigh of Berwick, Ordered that Messrs Shapleigh of Berwick, White of Monmouth & Swan of Portland be a committee to agree with some suitable person to perform the duties of an Assistant Clerk of the House during the present session of the Legislature - read & passed.
The Speaker announced his appointment of monitors as follows - viz Mr Shapleigh of Berwick for the Western Division " Frost of Bethel " Middle do " Ames of Clinton " Eastern do
The Speaker also announced his appointment of a committee of Elections as follows - viz Mr Clark of Hallowell " Bourne of Kennebunk " Clark of Limington
