Resolve authorizing the agent of the Penobscot Tribe of Indians to sell to Ira Fish so much timber from either of the township belonging to said tribe at the mouth of Matawamkeag river as said Fish may need to build a bridge over said river on the military. Read now building by the United States was read 1st & 2nd time & passed to be engrossed and them referred to Barks of Banger Deane of Ellsworth and Herrick of Lewiston

On motion of Mr Clifford of Newfield.

  Ordered that the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed what alterations of any are necessary in the law establishing the Courts of Sessions - sent up for concurrence

On motion of Mr Folsom of Eastport

  Ordered that the blank in the order relative to the State printing be filled by inserting the word seventeenth before the words day of January

Ordered that a message be sent to the Senate proposing a Convention of both Branches in the Representatives Chamber this day at 11 oclock for the purpose of administering the necessary oaths of office to Abijah Smith and Ralph C Johnson Councilors elect and the Senate by message signified their concurrence

  Accordingly the two Branches met in Convention Abijah Smith and Ralph C Johnson took and subscribed the oaths necessary to qualify them to enter upon the discharge of the duties of their office

Copies of Papers relating to Massachusetts claim came from the Senate referred to the Committee who have under consideration so much of the Governors message as relates to the Massachusetts Claim and the House concurred sent up
