Committee - vacancy of office of SecY of State - On motion of Mr Leach of Vassalboro' Ordered[underlined] that Messrs Leach of Vassalboro, Quinnam of Wiscasset and Welder of Dennysville be a committee to inquire into the expediency of providing for the case of vacancy in the office of Secretary of State with leave to report by bill or otherwise — read and passed.

Bill - store lime Bill entitled an additional Act to regulate the Manufacture and inspection of Stone lime and lime casks — was read a third time + passed to be engrossed with an amendment. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - sites for Light Houses Bill in addition to an act to cede to the United States the jurisdiction of sites for Light Houses - was read a third time and passed to be engrossed in concurrence with this Senate.

Bill - School lands in Dexter Bill to authorize the sale of the School land in the town of Dexter in the county of Penobscot - was read a third time + passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.
