190 The committee on engrossed Bills reported as duly engrossed Bill regulating evidence in certain cases -

Bill - an additional act respecting Foreign Attachment, was read 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at 10 o'clock assigned for a 3rd reading.

Petition of Shubael Marston praying compensation for land bought for a Gun House - was read & referred to the committee on claims. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - authorizing a Lottery for the benefit of the Damariscotta Canal Corporation - was read 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at 10 o'clock assigned for a 3d reading.

Bill - an additional act respecting Sheriffs, came from the Senate, that body refusing to concur the House in their reference of the Bill to the Committee on the Judiciary. - The House recede from their vote so referring the Bill and commit the Bill to the select committee who reported the same.

Bill to incorporate the Ellsworth Mutual Fire Insurance Company was read a third time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.
