Ordered, that the Committee on the Judiciary, be instructed to enquire into the expediency of repealing an act making further provision concerning records of Justice of the Peace ect read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.
On motion of Mr Smith of Newfield
Ordered, That the Senate be requested to take from their files, the papers relating to the division of the Town of Shapleigh which were presented to the last Legislature, & transmit the same to this House - read & passed. Sent up.
Bill additional to an act defining the general powers & duties & regulating the office of Sheriffs & Constables, was read 1st & 2nd time & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 3rd reading.
