106 Militia of this State and asking concurrence.

Agreeably to previous order, the senate proceeded to the choice of a Major General of the fourth Division of the Militia of this State, and Messrs Cobb, Scammon and Gibson were appointed a Committee to receive, sort and count the votes who reported that the whole number of votes given in were Necessary to a choice 11 Abner B Thomson has 19 Samuel Moore has 1 Robert P Dunlap has 1 Abner B Thompson was then declared duly elected.

Messrs Pease Drummond and Talbot were then appointed a Committee to receive sort and count the votes for a Major General of the Seventh Division of the Militia of this State who reported that the whole number of votes were 24 Necessary to a choice 13 Samuel Moor has 13 George Downes has 10 Samuel Moore was then declared duly elected and a message was sent to the House of Representatives inferring that body, that the Senate had concurred with the House in the election of Abner B Thompson Major General of the Fourth Division and Samuel Moore Major General of the Seventh Division of this State.

On motion of Mr Talbot Ordered that the Secretary of State notify the Governor that Abner B Thompson of Brunswick, has been elected by the concurrence vote of both branches of the
