80 Bill additional act to increase the salary of the Register of Probate for the County of Penobscot, was taken up and considered and on motion of Mr Shaw of Wiscasset ordered to lie on the table

On motion of Mr Buck of Orland

 Ordered that a joint special Committee to consist of one from each County in the State, with such as the Senate may join to inquire into the expediency of altering the time established by law for taking the valuation of property for the purpose of taxation from the first day of May to the first day of April - and Messrs Mildram of York, Bucknam of Cumberland Spear of Lincoln, Buck of Hancock, Mowry of Washington, Woodman of Kennebec, Noyes of Oxford, Spaulding of Somerset Chase of Penobscot, and Heagan of Waldo, Counties, with such as the Senate may join. Sent up for concurrence

Bill to annex part of the territory north of Albion in the County of Kennebec to said town, was read a second time and Monday next at 11 oclock assigned for a 3rd reading.

Bill regulating attachments on real estate, was read a second time and Friday of next week at 10 oclock assigned for a 3rd reading

Bill to incorporate the Washington County Bank was read a second time and tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a third reading
