Sire - I am desired by Gov. Lincoln to give you what information might be in my powder, respecting the right of the Penobscot Indians to certain fishing privileges, upon which subject you recently addressed a communication to him. I would state, there fore, for your information, that the suject has already been attended to at the request of the Priest [underlined] who by the charge of the Indians.
