Q. Why did you do that
A. I did that because I
wanted her to see to her specifically.
This was a young attendant, had been
there but a short time, and I made
no conversation with her about the matter.
Q. Did you purposefully refrain from it
A. Yes, I made no talk with her
in relation to the case whatsoever,
but went and called Miss. Harris,
rang the bell for her, and she
came and I sent her in. And she
came out and reported to me
and we went in together.
Q. When the attendant first came to you
for what purpose did she ask you
to visit ( Miss. H scratched out) the patient
A. She asked me to go in; said
she was sick in bed. And I knew
she had been suffering from diarrhea
and I didn't anticipate any thing, but
found there was considerable flowing, and
I immediately came out, as I said before.
Q. You were in the room how long
A. A few moments, just long enough
to ascertain what the trouble was.
