To the Honorable the Governor & Council
of the State of Maine -
The Subscribers Respectfully beg leave to represent that John P. Thurston of Portland is in all respects duly qualified to exercise the duties of a Justice of the peace & Quorum [one illegible]
We therefore solicit that he my be appointed to that office, in which event we are fully of opinion that the publick Weal will shurely be promoted -
