Mutual P. Lewey.
Lewey Tomah's son was Mitchel Lewey. He himself spelled the name Mutual P. Lewey. He was always being taken with spirits, even when mowing On such occasions he would drop his scythe and fly round like mad, sometimes turning summer saults for an indefinite length of time. When taken with one of these spells he would stand for a moment with one of those dazed expressions on his face such as a calf has when about to bolt "Mustn't you talk. You scare um my spirits. He go oh-oh-oh! Mustn't you scare um. He go out of window my spirits." He always seemed to have the greatest reverence for "his spirits." Mitchel died in the war.
