Sir I find you are the candidate for one of our offices this year all shall be done in my power to help the thing along and I think there will be no dought but we shall manage the thing - if you think of any thing that is necessary to be done say to what it is and it shall be attended to Mr Maxwell [?] had a letter this day from Bradford saying Tallman was in boston and that he was afinding fault with his brothering [brethren?] at Washington for which I am very sorry say to him that it is better not to say those things at present for the feds will take all the advantage of all he says - write me on receipt of this
