�Tuesday the 28th of Aug 1781 the Proprietors of a certain Tract of Land Laying in the Province of Maine holden under the Will of Bridget Phillips late of Boston deceased met According to adjournment at the Coffee House in Boston

[?] of the doingd of a meeting of the Proprietors called the [?] Proprietor, (claiming and holding lands in the County of York Aug 6th. 1781 was communicated to the Proprietors which was read and the said Proprietors thereupon voted to adopt Similar Measures which are as follows -

                       Whereas diverse Constructions have been

made respecting the right, Title, Boundaries, Quantity and Extent Land in the County of York claimed by the Proprietor holding Land under the Will of Bridget Phillips - the Proprietors Claiming Land under the Heirs of Francis Small and the Proprietors claiming Land under Majoer Nicholas Shapleigh by diverse Antient[?] Deeds - And the Commonwealth of Massachusetts under the heirs of Liz Ferdinando gorge[?] a for the Amicable Settlement to which its [?] voted that Col Josiah Waters be and he hereby is appointed, impowered and dirested to apply to the General Court of the Commonwealth aforesaid requesting Them to authorize and Impower the Honible Jedidiah Prebble Esq the Honible Jonathan Greenleaf Esq the Honible David Sewall Esq. John Lewis Esq + William Lithgow Esq (a Committee of the General Court appointed by a Resolve of the 2d March last ascertain the Lands of the Commonwealth and to examine an Opinionate[?] Claims) Thereas and finally to ascertain determine and establish the right Title and boundary Lines of the several Claims aforesaid - The Determine
