1224 Q. Have seen them both working there? A. Frequently. Haines used to work there regularly. Q. Did you have any particular time for going down there? A. No sir, went just when it happened. Q. What is your observation as to the treatment of Peter Haines or Sweeny by Mr. Sampson? A. I never saw anything out of the way, they were treated kindly so far as anything that I saw. Sweeny was of naturally a humorous turn of mind, and Mr. Sampson used to have considerable fun with him, treated him with the best of care, and Mr. Haines also; I never saw wither of these two patients ill used.
