Secretary's Office September 8th 1810.

Dear Sir

I take the earliest opportunity, of a favourable private conveyance by Major Woods, to forward you a number of commissions for your County and neighbourhoods, the Governor having been unwell, has delayed them a few days, and the hurry of business at the close of the

late Sessions of Council prevented me completing the commissions which were confirmed on the first instant so as to send them earlier, there will probably be an additional list prepared during the adjournment, and such further recommendations as you may wish to forward to the Governor may be in time for his next nomination, any communications you may be pleased to make to or through me shall be attended to with great pleasure on my part, and on all occasions I shall be happy to receive & execute your commands

with great respect and high considerations
    I am Dr Sir
    your devoted faithful servant
    Benjamin Homans Secretary

Honble William King

    Bath.
