� Lieut. Gov. John Neptune. Neptune was one of the [work] [?] noted of the Indian hunters. He was a tall, well - proportioned man weighing about 225 pound. He led a Roman [mre,] [?] the distinguishing Traits of all the Neptune family.    One of his [much] [?] famous hunts was his trip to the St. Lawrence with a company of eight Indians. They went across into the North Shore, [then] [?] in [prcessine] [?] of the Hudson Bay Company and stayed there several months living [almrl entirey] [?] on Beaver meal with-out salt. They had to make the whole [trip] [?] [witms provinces,] [?] and they dared not go to the Hudson Bay trading posts.
