1103 Q.(cont.) many would be occupied by patients naked? A. Probably not more than two or three Q. Out of those two or three would some of them have bedding? A. Some of them would have bed clothing, but sometimes you could not make them keep their clothing on. Q. Was a patient ever just into the lodge destitute of clothing and bedding unless he was in such a condition that he would not keep bedding by him at all? A. Never to my knowledge, it was not done except as a matter of necessity Q. So night watch when you found any patient whose condition had become less violent so that you thought he could bear clothing did you try it? A. I have , I gave a man clothing one time, I thought he would be all right and in less than an hours time he had split it up into one inch pieces, that was Harriman. When he was in the lodge he was a man you could not trust with clothing of any description hardly, once in awhile he would pass a night without tearing much, and then he would tear everything to pieces and tie his blankets round himself. Q. Do you think man in his condition of frenzy would suffer from cold at all during the night ? A. I should not think he could suffer much from the cold
