Q. Why did you do that A. I did that because I wanted her to see to her specifically. This was a young attendant, had been there but a short time, and I made no conversation with her about the matter. Q. Did you purposefully refrain from it A. Yes, I made no talk with her in relation to the case whatsoever, but went and called Miss. {Harris?], rang the bell for her, ad she came and I sent her in. And she came out and reported to me and we went in together. Q. When the attendant first came to you for what purpose did she ask you to visit ( Miss. H scratched out) the patient A. She asked me to go in; said she was sick in bed. And I knew she had been suffering from diarrhea and I didn't anticipate any thing, but found there was considerable flowing, and I immediately came out, as I said before. Q. You were in the room how long A. A few moments, just long enough to ascertain what the trouble was.
