1201 Q. After you got over there how much time did you ordinarily spend looking round the hospital, take your first visit? A. My first visit I went there in the afternoon in company with Mrs. Quimby who had had a years experience as a visitor, as she called my attention to several cases in which she thought the patients were sufficiently improved to be discharged, that they would be better off at home. I think I spent a half day on my visit there, the next morning I drove over to call Dr. Harlow's attention to one particular patient whom I was all right and would be better off at home, I did not find Dr. Harlow, I did call Dr. Sanborn's attention to that case and came home. Q. Did you advise Dr. Harlow or Dr. Sanborn to discharge this patient? A. Not at all, I did not feel competent to do it
