1239 A. (cont.) the councils. Testimony of Abram McLaughlin, Sworn By Mr. Baker Q. Where do you live? A. ? Auburn Q. Were you an attendant in the hospital at one time? A. Yes I think about four years and some collectively, begun in 1872, I think and closed Sept 1880. Q. Were you employed one time in keeping the lodges? A. I was three months, from January to April; was familiar with them. Q. Were you in the lodges sometimes at night? A. In the evening I was there; sometimes had occasion to get up in the night and go to a patient. Q. Did you ever see one of the lodge rooms cold enough to be uncomfortable for a patient ? A.
