An order came from the Senate directing the Secretary of State to publish forthwith in all the newspapers authorized to publish the public laws "an act to prohibit agencies for Banks out of the State, private Banking, and to regulate Banks & Banking" and the House concurred.
Resolve - authorizing the Treasurer to dispose of certain articles belonging to the State - laid on the table by Mr Steward if Anson, was read twice & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.
Mr Farley of New Castle has leave of absence from and after this day.
Resolve in favor of Waterville College was read a second time and indefinitely postponed. Sent up for concurrence.

The House took up the Bill - An Act to incorporate the Ellsworth Bank - and propose to the Senate a Conference and appoint as conferees Messrs Davis of Buckfield, Eastman of Strong & Fifield of Dear Isle.
