Bill - An Act respecting the Maine Stage Company, came from the Senate indefinitely postponed - The House insist upon their vote passing the same to be engrossed propose a Conference and appoint as Conferees on the part of the House Messrs Lyman of Portland, Potter of Augusta & Stone of Brunswick
Resolve in favor of Robert Maxwell was read once and this afternoon at 2 o'clock assigned for a 2d reading.
Resolve, An additional Resolve for the payment of accounts against the State, was read once and ordered to be laid upon the table.
Bill - An Act to incorporate the Ellsworth Bank came from the Senate that body insisting upon their vote passing the same to be engrossed - The House insist upon their vote refusing the same a passage and the question was decided by yeas & nays as follows - yeas by nays 55 [see appendix page 142]. Sent up for concurrence.
Resolve for the appointment of a Superintendent of the Public Building, was read a second time and indefinitely postponed.
Bill - An Act to increase the Capital Stock of the Skowhegan Bank - was read a third time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence.
