1232 Q. This report is entered at large on the records, beginning on page 574, of Vol 37 of the register of the council, were you present when the written report was presented? A. I was Q. With the signatures on it? A. Not that I am aware of. No names were read, because if there had been, I should have know my name was there. Q. You mean to state that you never knew your name was there? A. I never did, supposed it was not there. Q. When the register of the council, giving this report at large, with the signatures to it, on page 614 was presented to you, do you mean to say that you signed it as accepted, or do you mean to say you did not then know? A. That register was placed on the table at the end of the year, and we commenced at the front part and signed right straight through under each session, and no time did I look to see what the particular proceedings were under that. Q. Your name appears on page 614; you signed that? A. Yes sir Q. That name is in your handwriting? A. Yes sir Q. On the same page appears the report of the committee
