One type of word I think is rather distinctive of Maine - the terminal -iggin, -oggin, egan, Sebascodiggin, Androscoggin, Eggemoggin, forms of ending that I do not quite understand, unless the so-called "euphonic" element is here found[?] to make the words sound pleasing!
